Job Title: Pressure Washer Service Technician

Summary:

The Service Technician is a multi-faceted role, responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a diverse range of industrial cleaning equipment, including but not limited to pressure washers, water filtration and recycling systems, water evaporators, and parts washers. The technician serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring each piece of equipment not only meets our high-quality standards but also exceeds client expectations. Integral to the role is the execution of preventive maintenance routines designed to enhance equipment longevity and maintain peak functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct regular diagnostic tests on pressure washing equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency. Implement preventive maintenance routines, identify wear and tear, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.

Client Consultations: Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges. Provide recommendations on equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and techniques to prolong equipment life and maximize efficiency.

On-site Service & Repairs: Visit client sites for hands-on equipment repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Educate clients on proper equipment care and troubleshoot common issues.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in pressure washing technology, techniques, and safety protocols. Attend training sessions and workshops as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide feedback on equipment performance. Maintain regular communication with the management about equipment inventory, parts required, and client feedback.

Documentation & Work Order Management: Ensure all equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks are thoroughly documented. Maintain accurate and detailed work orders for each service call, capturing client feedback, parts used, and any recommendations provided. Regularly review and update the documentation to keep a precise record of equipment histories and service schedules. Coordinate with administrative staff for efficient work order processing, invoicing, and record-keeping.

Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workspace and adhere to all company safety protocols.

 

Qualifications:

Prior experience in equipment maintenance or a similar role.

Strong technical acumen and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with pressure washing equipment and technologies preferred but can teach the right individual.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.

Valid driver’s license to travel to job sites when necessary.

Work Environment:

The Pressure Washer Service Technician operates primarily within a workshop setting, dedicated to the repair, maintenance, and enhancement of pressure washing equipment. However, this position isn’t strictly confined to the workshop. On occasion, direct visits to customer sites are required, ensuring on-the-spot repairs, and ensuring our clients experience minimal downtime. Engaging with such equipment demands a certain physical vigor. The role involves consistent handling, maneuvering, and adjustment of machinery and components, which necessitates not only technical prowess but also physical stamina and dexterity. In addition to the hands-on aspect, the technician should be prepared to communicate effectively with clients, offering guidance on equipment care, and ensuring they are satisfied with the services provided.
